An ITI Adventure in Kentucky

XXII Green River Regional Teen Leadership Conference

The ITI facilitation team has been privileged to work with thousands of Indiana youth and adult participants through the years. While we'll always prioritize our fellow Hoosiers, we are also always up for a road trip. In November 2013, our neighbors to the south provided an "on the road" opportunity.

As the lead facilitator, I was fortunate to be accompanied by fellow facilitators Macy Ballard, Alexa Morris, Brian Sappenfield, and Julie Coon (pictured below). Our team of five were the guest facilitators at the Green River Regional Teen Leadership Conference in Kentucky, where a record-breaking 123 participants representing ten schools attended the two-day retreat.

The sessions took place at the Mt. Saint Joseph Conference and Retreat Center. The primary focus was developing youth coalitions to combat substance abuse issues. The two days were rewarding on many levels, and we made sure the drive home was memorable as well.

Here's to more road adventures in the future!
